In the town of Lexington, take City Lake Road to Pilgrims Church Road. Turn right onto Pilgrims Chruch Road and proceed past the Church on the right. The cemetery is just past the church on the right side of the road.

This cemetery is owned and maintained by the Pilgrim Reformed Church. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in the area. There are many, many unreadable, missing and damaged tombstones. There is a huge "German" section with barely legible stones. These German stones are only found in 10 cemeteries in this area of N.C. and are found no where else in the U.S.A.

I walked and read this cemetery in June of 2006, using my digital camera. This includes all existing and legible headstones and markers to that date.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
