To reach this cemetery, take Hwy 12 east from Townsend Montana for 2.4 mi to Hwy 284 going North for about 11.2 miles, turn west onto Lower Duck Creek Road and go West for about 2.6 miles on Lower Duck Creek Road until you come to a fork in the road. There is a sign on the left directing you to take the lower road. Follow this road for about .8mi. You will come to 2 cemeteries. This will be the 2nd cemetery.

Lavina Chapel Cemetery is unmarked and straight ahead overlooking Canyon Ferry Reservoir from the first cemetery (Fairview Cemetery). This is a well maintained cemetery. There is a sign which says, "Dedicated In Memory of Thomas F. "Frank" Keene 1836-1923 who donated this land." The church and cemetery were both named Lavenia Chapel after Frank Keene's baby daughter Lavenia who died in 1893. Only the cemetery remains as the church no longer exists.
