From the community of Improve, drive north on Crawley Road for about 1.25 mile, turn east or right onto Charles Bryant Lane, then right or south onto the first road and continue for about .5 mile. The cemetery is east of this road about .25miles. There is no road into it.

Ms Abigail lived alone and was buried behind her house when she died in 1904. Eventually, other public roads were built isolating the field she was buried in, as no one traveled that way anymore. Then her house was removed some years later and the land changed hands and no one came around anymore. Only a few persons I know alive now that are aware of the site of her grave.

I visited the spot some time ago and the area had been logged, her tombstone left in three pieces, and then pine trees planted. I'm not sure if I could find that spot myself again anymore. It's kinda sad.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
