From Lucedale MS, travel east on highway 198. Approximately 2.0 miles there will be an intersection of highway 63 North and Evanston Road. Turn right onto Evanston road and go south 1 mile, you will see a small grass covered road on the right. Turn in there and the cemetery is directly ahead of you.

This cemetery is sometimes called the Croom Cemetery. It was established in the late 1800s, with the first burial being that of Tyra J Evans, who died Jan 18, 1897.

The cemetery is surrounded by a chain link fence, however there is considerable damage to several stones attributed to vandals and there are several unmarked graves. There is one marked veteran grave in this cemetery.

I walked this cemetery on Feb 26, 2007, and the information was gathered using all existing and legible headstone and marker inscriptions.
