We'll begin our trip to this cemetery on Main Street, in downtown Lucedale, Mississippi. At the corner of Main and Mill streets, take Mill Street south, you will come to the northern boundary (fence), of the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery on your left. The Benyard cemetery lies on the left (east) side of Mill Street and runs parallel with the Magnolia Cemetery, north of the Magnolia Garden one.

The cemetery belongs to the Johnnie Benyard family and all maintenance and upkeep is done by them. The cemetery was well kept.

I walked this cemetery on Dec 07, 2007, and the information was gathered using all existing and legible headstone inscriptions and temporary grave markers.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
