Bear Creek Cemetery
Warren County, Missouri

From St. Louis drive west on interstate 70. leave the highway at the High Hill exit and take the south frontage road east to the first gravel road. It may be marked Bear Creek Road. Watch for the county line. There is a clearing on the west side of the road and the gravel on the road changes.

The first gate (which is locked) and fairly far from the cemetery, the home of a Mr. Meyer. If you can get permission, he has lots of large dogs, you could go through his property and through a barbed wire fence. The clay pits dug up the original road that went to the cemetery and the cabin. The next drive is another Mr. Meyer. He has fewer dogs and you can walk west from his drive and cross barbed wire fences to reach the cemetery.

Am looking for any church which might be associated with this group of graves. I do not know the name of this cemetery, so have given it the name listed from the area it is in. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I have transcribed from my information when I walked this cemetery in the summer of 2001.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
