Mount Zion Cemetery
Excelsior Springs, Clay County, Missouri

Lat: 39° 17' 17"N, Lon: 94° 18' 17"W

Contributed by Sharon Kroner, May 12, 2007 [sharonmok2@sbcglobal.net]. Total records = 142.

From the junction of MO 291 Hwy & MO 33 Hwy in the city limits of Liberty, MO you go north on Hwy 33 for .7 mile to Hwy H, turn right onto H Hwy, go 7.4 miles, enter the cemetery on your left.

This is a fairly large cemetery found in a rural setting. There is a sign posted in the cemetery requesting donations, contact Mrs. Albert Anderson, 9525 Cameron Road, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024. The older part of the cemetery has a few broken grave stones, others are weathered and hard to read. They are still accepting burials.

This includes all existing and legible readings from stones and markers from when Wanda Lynn and I visited this cemetery on Apr 28, 2007.

    cemetery records

A free online library of cemetery records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

    Clear Digital Media, Inc.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
