To reach this cemetery drive north on Rte B for 1.5 miles out of Wakenda MO. The cemetery is visible from the road on the west or left side of the road.

The Little Adkins Brotherton Cemetery was established in the early 1900s. This is not to be confused with the Adkins Cemetery which is northeast of this cemetery, just south of the Bethlehem Church. I did not find out who owns and maintains it.

I found this cemetery in good condition. Most of the stones are new and easy to read. There were 4 wooden crosses with no inscription and one illegible marker. It is still in use for new burials.

This includes all existing and legible readings from stones and markers from when I visited this cemetery on Aug 09, 2007.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
