Farmington Rd. South of Five Mile Rd. Cemetery is on the west side of the street, across from the Fire Station.

Livonia Cemetery was established in 1836, this cemetery still occasionally has new burials only for those previously purchased lots, or empty spaces in a family plot. No new areas are available for sale.

At the present time the cemetery is under the jurisdiction of the City of Livonia. A sexton manages the records and maintenance of it. I would say the burials after 1975 are recorded at the city hall. However, earlier ones often have no paperwork.

I have worked on this cemetery with the City Clerks Office. Some have been added which were missed, others the tombstones are lost and there are quite a few with no marker.

This is a complete transcription of the burials in this cemetery from all existing and legible tombstones up to May 2004.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
