Moreland Cemetery
Caro, Tuscola County, Michigan

Lat: 43° 29' 28"N, Lon: 83° 29' 02"W
Fairgrove Twp, Sec 35

Contributed by Gloria Hall, Jul 04, 2004 [trublehall@centurytel.net]. Total records = 83.

To reach cemetery from Caro, drive wes on Gilford Road about 4 miles to Sheridan Road. Located on Sheridan Road about 1/4 mile south of Gilford Road.

This was once the Moreland farm and the Moreland school stood on the corner of Gilford and Sheridan.

A small cemetery, nicely maintained by the township. It is currently used, but rarely. There are many unmarked graves. Markers with only first names are assumed to be the same as others on lot.

Presented here by name, birth, death, age, comments, and row on South (s) and North (n) side of the drive.

I first read this in the 1980s and re-walked it about 2000.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
