Contributed by Sherry Wilson, Oct 02, 2004 [swilson@ees.eesc.com].  Total records = 193.

Go east on East Silverbell Rd, just off M24, Lapeer Rd., which runs north and south through Orion MI. Go north on Kern approx a mile. The cemetery is on the south east corner of Kern Rd. and Gunn Rd. You can also get to it by taking Adams Rd and going west on Gunn Rd, also approx a mile. It is close to Orion, Michigan

Oakland Twp. Historic District Commission lists and protects Bigler Cemetery in Twp. preservation ordinance. The Oakland Twp, cares for the cemetery.

One can find the victorian symbol for grief, the weeping willow, on many of the gravestones, as well as footstones, many in their original positions, which bear only the initials of the deceased.

Novi-Histocial Commission takes care of this cemetery. Any graves/markers missing were noted, if needed. This cemetery is no longer being used, but is well kept.

I read the stones during the month of September 2004. Then I went to the Orion Twp. library and got a copy of the reading the General Richardson Chapter of the DAR did approx 1930, then contributed by Hazel Hilton Dunlap and May Rockwell Howlott.

I compared what I recorded and photographed and corrected a few records listed by the DAR I have photos for nearly all the stones listed.

    cemetery records

A free online library of cemetery records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

    Clear Digital Media, Inc.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
