Lat: 42° 53' 08"N, Lon: 83° 43' 27"W
Mundy Township, Section 26

Contributed by Len Thomas, Aug 31, 2007, last edited Sep 03, 2007 [len40tho@comcast.net]. Total records = 98.

To reach cemetery from the village of Rankin, travel south on Jennings Road for 1/2 mile to Baldwin Road; turn east on Baldwin Road and travel 1 mile, just beyond Torrey Road. The cemetery is on the north side of Baldwin Road, between Torrey and Fenton Road, east of the US-23 Freeway.

The Odell Cemetery is believed to have been established in 1835, and it is unknown by whom. The cemetery is now owned by the Mundy Township and a recent renovation has been completed by area volunteers. Inquiries should be directed to the Township Clerk.

I compiled this transcription in July of 2007, from headstones plus addition info from earlier transcriptions in 1944 and 1966 and also Township death and burial records.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
