This cemetery is located 1 mile south of Central Lake on the east or left side of M-88.

The Southern Cemetery is a large, active cemetery and is very well-maintained. It is owned and operated by Central Lake Township.

Sharon Thomas and I walked this cemetery in mid October of 2011, in search of Civil War gravesites.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
