Pierce Burial Plot
Limerick, York County, Maine

Lat: 43° 40' 57"N, Lon: 70° 44' 19"W, approx.

Contributed by Lisa Haynes, Feb 14, 2004 [lhaynes9722@yahoo.com]. Total records = 13.

From Limerick Center Rte. 5 (Sokokis Trail), go Northeast on Washington St. Rte. 11, bear right heading East on Central Ave. for about .9 mi. Turn right onto Dole Ridge Rd. go 2 miles. Turn left onto Moon Circle, will come to sharp bend to the left. Cemetery will be on the right at the elbow of that bend behind a house in the woods.

This family plot contains my 1st cousin, 4 times removed (Walter H. Pierce) and his family and others. Condition is somewhat poor, some stones are down, it is difficult to find and becoming grown over.

I believe this is a complete record, although some records show there are 7 fieldstone markers w/ no inscriptions.

I compiled this work on Oct 20, 2003 from tombstones and Historical Society records, furnished by the Limerick Historical Society.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
