Bailey Cemetery
Mardela Springs, Wicomico County, Maryland

Rising Eagle Road, Mardela Springs MD

Lat: 38° 27' 08"N, Lon: 75° 43' 24"W

Contributed by Anne Braun, Aug 18, 2007, last edited Aug 31, 2007 [annieb1961@comcast.net]. Total records = 14.

From Mardela Springs, go southeast on Highway 59 for 1.5 miles until you reach Rising Eagle Road. Turn south there and the cemetery is right next to the road on the south side.

This is a small family cemetery that is in good shape. The cemetery started in 1859 for the Bailey and Darby families.

I visited and transcribed this cemetery on Aug 13, 2007.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
