Old Paradise Cemetery
Trappe, Talbot County, Maryland

Barber Road and Highway 50, Trappe MD

Lat: 38° 39' 06"N, Lon: 76° 13' 38"W

Contributed by Anne Braun, Aug 18, 2007 [annieb1961@comcast.net]. Total records = 16.

To reach this cemetery in Trappe drive south on Main Street. The cemetery is on the northeast corner of the intersection of Highway 50 and Barber Road.

This is a small cemetery that is in poor condition. The cemetery is mowed but a lot of the headstones have fallen, are broken, or are partially buried. The Cemetery was founded by a group of former slaves. There were at least 7 unmarked graves.

I visited and read all existing and legible stones and markers in this cemetery on Aug 15, 2007.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
