In Collington, from the intersection of Collington Road (Highway 197) and Tulip Grove Drive, go east on Tulip Grove Drive for .4 miles until you reach the Bowie or Belair Mansion. Turn into there and park. Go behind the Mansion and walk in a south/southwest direction for about 300 feet. The cemetery is on the southwest corner of the property.

This is a little family cemetery with a lot of history behind it. Benjamin Ogle II was the son of Benjamin Ogle who was one of Maryland's Governors. The cemetery sits on a historical mansion called Belair in which the Ogle family owned it between 1744 and 1870. Today the cemetery is owned by the city of Bowie Maryland. There are only two headstones remaining while the other three headstones have disappeared. I compared my finding with the book "Stones and Bones".

I visited this burial site on May 14, 2011.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
