Prince George County, Maryland

Jeremiah Lane, Bowie, Maryland

Lat: 38° 54' 05"N, Lon: 76° 45' 17"W

Contributed by Anne Braun, Aug 22, 2005 [annieb1961@comcast.net]. Total records = 7.

In Bowie, from the intersection of Highways 214 and 301, go west on Highway 214 for .75 miles until you come to Jennings Mill Drive. Turn there and go south for .1 miles until you reach Jeremiah Lane. Turn there and go west about .2 miles. The cemetery is on top of a hill and it has a fence around the cemetery.

This is a small overgrown cemetery. The cemetery contains the family of Colonel Francis Magruder Hall. I could not locate two headstones in the thick overgrowth.

I visited this one on Aug 20, 2005. I compared my findings with the book "Stones and Bones," Cemeteries of Prince George County, pub. 1984.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
