In Port Tobacco, go .35 miles west on Highway 6 until you reach Rose Hill Road. Turn north/northwest
on Rose Hill Road and go .8 miles until you see the sign that says “Rose Hill” Manor Place. There are two dirt
roads: one that goes south that leads to the property where Dr. Gustavus Brown is buried. The other road
is called Betty’s Delight Place and that goes straight west. Go west on Betty’s Delight Place for .2 miles.
From there you see a long dirt driveway that goes south. You can go up to the house.
The burial site is about 10 yards north from the
house and it would be good to ask permission from the owner of the property to visit.
There is one flat headstone, which was covered in leaves. The grave sits on the property where the farm called Betty’s
Delight once existed. The day I was up at the grave site, the owner of the property and I unburied
the dead leaves so that we can see the headstone.
I walked and read this cemetery on Dec 04, 2005.
