In Friendship, from the intersection of Highways 261 and 2, go southeast/south
on Highway 261 (Friendship Road) for 2 miles until you reach a sign that says Holly Hill,
turn left there and go up the dirt road for .25 miles. The cemetery is on the western side
of the road surrounded by trees.
One needs to ask the owner of Holly Hill for permission to visit this cemetery.
A small family cemetery that is well taken care of. The interesting thing about this one is
that they have a headstone that dates back to 1680. I asked that owner about this and he
confirms that the headstone is from 1680. The cemetery
holds the people who once live in the Holly Hill which was a plantation. The headstones were
worn and very hard to read.
I visited and walked this cemetery on Feb 11, 2005.
