Cedar Grove Cemetery is owned and operated by City of Marshfield, MA.
From Exit 12 of Route 3 (Southeast Expressway), take Rte 139 East for 3.2 miles. The cemetery is on your left, just past and adjacent to the First Congregational Church.
This cemetery was established in 1721, and is one of the oldest cemeteries in Plymouth County, covering about 4 acres. Single-lane roads allow you to drive in. It is well maintained. Many old stones are broken or unreadable due to age. Evidence of new burials demonstrate it is still active. (Note: There is also an older, smaller cemetery section across the street known as Chapel Cemetery.)
