To reach cemetery take State Hwy 466 south out of Melvin for .8 miles. Turn left or east onto Muddy Gut Road and cemetery will be on your right, or south side of the road in .4miles.

This cemetery was established in about 1955, judging from the dates. It is owned and maintained by the family of Henry Tackett and is still in use.

I walked and read this cemetery on Jun 15, 2009. This includes all existing and legible stones and markers at that time.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
