The cemetery is located a quarter mile north of Volland, Kansas. Turn into the driveway to the Fix family farm, cross the railroad tracks, then turn North on the railroad access road. The cemetery is on your right about 200 feet north of the farm driveway."

From the "New Branches" pub. 1977 by Wabaunsee County HS of Kansas.
"On Dec. 26, 1865, at the end of the Civil War, John Robert Fix was married to Rebecca Larch in Indiana. They moved to Kansas to make their home near his parents who had settled in Kansas about 1855. Their first child, a son (Willie) was born in 1866 and died in infancy. He was buried on the plot now know as the Fix Family Cemetery."

The cemetery now comprises 43 graves. The Fix Family Cemetery has been reserved and is not sold as part of the Fix farm. Here are buried four generations of the Fix family. (Everyone but the Rebers, George Hoerner, the Mexican child, and the Zeckser children are Fix family members.)

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
