Parce Homestead Cemetery
Bellaire, Smith County, Kansas

Contributed by Beth Gillis, Oct 05, 2005 [rbgillis@ruraltel.net]. Total records = 2.

To reach the cemetery from Bellaire, take Hwy 21 south for 4 miles, turn east onto 200 Road and continue for 2.5 miles.

This small burial site had it's beginnings on a larger family homestead. It is now in a pasture still surrounded by a fence, but in need of attention as the stones are hard to find because of all the weeds growing in the area.

I am told this was a family homestead at one time and they both became ill and died not to long apart. Their children were taken in by other families and in later years they returned to the area and put the stones to mark the graves and a small fence around it.

I walked this cemetery on Apr 15, 2005.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
