Oak Hill Cemetery
Lebanon, Smith County, Kansas

Lat: 39° 50' 36"N, Lon: 98° 37' 08"W
Cora Twp, SE of SE Sec 25

Contributed by Beth Gillis, Jul 02, 2006 [rbgillis@ruraltel.net]. Total records = 30.

To reach cemetery from Lebanon, Kansas go west on 140 Rd. To Y Rd about 3 miles turn north on Y Rd go 2 to 2 1/4 miles sits off Y Rd. On the west side about 200 yards. The drive going up into the cemetery is pretty washed out, so it is very rough, but it is rock.

The land for this cemetery was obtained Mar 14, 1877 from Doretta Tussey.

This cemetery is pretty much abandoned now. It is needing a lot of work, as I suspect there are a lot of stones that no longer exist. There are several depressions in the ground that lead me to think that there are some missing stones.

Robert Gillis and I visited this cemetery on Jul 02, 2006. This includes all visible and legible stones or markers at this time.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
