Contributed by Doug McHatton, May 18, 2006, last edited Apr 05, 2010 [ddmchatton@sbcglobal.net]. Total records = 1,226.

This cemetery is located about 1/4 mi North of SW 89th Street (Auburn-Dover Rd) on SW Hodges Rd, or about 1 mile west of Auburn KS.

It is my understanding that the sexton files for this cemetery have been destroyed by some means. The cemetery is somewhat rural and well maintained, though I do not know who owns and maintains this cemetery now.

There are several graves that are unmarked and there are several markers that have deteriorated to the point of illegibility. In some cases only the footing for the headstone is visible, in other cases the engravings are so severely eroded by the elements that they cannot be read.

This is a complete transcription of all existing and legible tombstones within the cemetery in winter of © 2005-2006. I have digital photos of all of the stones and markers. I completed this transcription in Apr 2006.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
