Bender Hill Cemetery (Trinity Lutheran Cemetery)
Russell County, Kansas

Lat: 38° 44' 50"N, Lon: 98° 52' 45"W
Lincoln Twp, Sec 16

Contributed by Charma Craven, Feb 18, 2005 [mail]. Total records = 56.

Bender Hill Cemetery about 1/4 south of where the old church was, on the west side of the road, at the intersection of Mitchell Lane and 184th Street.

This cemetery was owned and maintained by Trinity Lutheran Church at one time. It has become known by the community as the Bender Hill Cemetery and is maintained by the county cemetery board. It is still used occasionally.

I walked and read this cemetery in Jul of 2000, and it is not longer used for burials. There was one limestone base with no stone left.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
