Zion Cemetery
Chanute, Neosho County, Kansas

Lat: 37° 41' 23"N, Lon: 95° 31' 31"W
Tioga Twp, Sec 14

Contributed by Linda Brower, Nov 01, 2006 [ltbrower@yahoo.com]. Total records = 106.

To reach this cemetery from Chanute, take Hwy 39 west 3 miles, on north side of road, almost to the Wilson county line.

Judging by the existing stones, the cemetery started by 1832 and the last burial was in 1991.

This is a complete list of all existing and legible stones and markers found when I canvassed this cemetery on Dec 19, 2003.

cemetery records

A free online library of cemetery records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
