Maupin Family Cemetery
Lenexa, Johnson County, Kansas

Lat: 38° 57' 43"N, Lon: 94° 47' 59"W

Contributed by Linda Lewis, Aug 23, 2007, Last edited Aug 27, 2007 [webmaster@cottonhills.com]. Total records = 4.

This cemetery is located in a wooded area out of Lenexa KS, on private, protected property on the south side W 87th Street, just before Barkley Drive on the north.

Permission would need to be obtained from the property owners, to visit this burial site.

The gravestones are broken and the cemetery is overgrown. The original stone wall had fallen and was rebuilt years ago and remains standing. It is believed that the broken stone next to Juda Maupin is her husband, Levi W. Maupin, b. 21 Feb 1818, d. 20 Jan 1873.

This cemetery was transcribed and photographed from the gravestones and monuments on Jul 21, 2007. Photos available upon request.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
