The Piedmont Cemetery is located 6 and 6/10ths mile west
of the junction of KS 99 (which goes south to Howard, Ks) and US 96 in
the Otter Creek Township in Greenwood County in Kansas.
The road to the cemetery may be somewhat difficult to
find as there is no identifying markers. It sits East of 328 mile marker
and West of the 329 mile marker. It also sits 8/10th of a mile West
of the Piedmont, Kansas turnoff. The Cemetery also sits on the South
side of US 96 (400). If you are going East, you will see it if you look
South after passing the 328 mile marker, but is difficult to see if
you are going West. The only signs on the cemetery road is a small sign
that says Piedmont Cemetery and an arrow pointing the way and they sit
away from the highway on the actual cemetery road. Follow the road about
2/10s of a mile east where it ends at the cemetery.
This is well kept up by the Otter Creek Township and
there is even an outhouse which is clean and supplies are generally
found there. This cemetery is still receiving.
I walked and read this cemetery in Nov of 2003.
