Kaub Cemetery
Centropolis, Franklin County, Kansas

T15S R18E Sec 27
Lat: 38° 43' 02"N, Lon: 95° 23' 23"W

Contributed by Ruth I Stude, Dec 10, 2002, last edited May 17, 2011 [stude218@yahoo.com]. Total records = 14.

To reach cemetery from Centropolis, drive 1/2 mile north, 2 miles west and 1/2 mile south. The cemetery is on the west side of the road.

Sometime after 1865 John and Catherine (Beeghly) Kaub donated the southeast corner of their farm for a cemetery. To commemorate this gift, the cemetery was named Kaub Cemetery.

Most of the stones were destroyed by vandals and by time. No official record of the graves in Kaub Cemetery has been found and only a few stones remain. It is believed by the Kaub family that many other graves of family members and neighborhood friends are in this cemetery, possibly as many as thirty. The following are known to have been buried there.

This is a transcription of tombstones which I read in July of 1985. It includes all existing headstones and a few additional names from other sources.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
