To reach Holy Family Cemetery from Claflin, KS, drive approximately 3.5
miles west on Hwy 4. Turn north onto NE 90 Ave, and continue for 3 miles.
The cemetery is on the left side of the road just south of the intersection.
The Holy Family Church is located in the center of this small community
on the west side of NE 90 Ave, and is visible from Hwy 4. The Holy Family
Cemetery is located directly behind the church to the west, and has
2 entrances.
The Odin catholic community began around 1870. At one point, a priest
attempted to change the name of the community from Odin to Nazareth,
without success. This is why an entrance gate bears the name "Nazareth
Cemetery", rather than "Holy Family Cemetery". The cemetery is well
cared for and is apparently still used for burials.
The following includes all existing and legible stone and marker readings
which I obtained when I (and helpers) visited this cemetery on Aug 25,
2006 and on Sep 24, 2006, using my digital camera. If anyone feels I
