To get to this cemetery, take the Michigan Road southeast from the city of Shelbyville approximately seven miles. After passing the intersection with County Road 600E, the Weintraut farm is about one half mile down the road on the right.

This small family cemetery is in a field along a private gravel lane a short distance behind the Weintraut farmhouse and barn.

The cemetery sits on ground which is slighty elevated above the crop field around it. This cemetery is surrounded by a low stone wall which has collapsed on one side.

I am a descendant of Abraham Powell and Elisha Arnold who are buried here. Anyone who would like more information about this cemetery may contact me by e-mail.

I compiled this record on May 18, 1994 by visiting the cemtery and making tombstone inscriptions. I have not been able to find evidence of any burials in this cemetery other than those listed.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
