Nutter Cemetery
Martinsville, Morgan County, Indiana

Lat: 39° 27' 48"N, Lon: 86° 25' 23"W
Washington Twp, Sec 21

Contributed by Jeff Curtis, Aug 25, 2006, lst edited Aug 29, 2006 [jefftcurtis@earthlink.net]. Total records = 191.

To reach this cemetery from Martinsville, drive north on Blue Bluff Road for about 2.5 miles. Turn right onto an unnamed road that leads back to the cemetery, which is just south of the lake. The dam of the lake is clearly visible from Blue Bluff Road.

This cemetery is well cared for, and the condition of the headstones seems to be quite good. The cemetery was already inactive in 1967. Have not found when it was established and who maintains it.

I have transcribed, with permission, from work completed in Sep of 1967 by Carl and Janet Cowen, when they read all existing and legible stones.

cemetery records

A free online library of cemetery records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

Clear Digital Media, Inc.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
