History

Pike Cemetery was established in 1848 by Moses Pike on land he had obtained through a land grant. On 12 June 1858 he sold the land to Amos Clark, who deeded back to Pike...

"a piece of land lying about center of W 1/2 of SW 1/4 S36, T35N, R3W two rods and so laid off to enclose the graves".

The above referenced graves were that of Pike's wife Lydia, daughters Mary and Elizabeth, sons Greenlee and John, all died 1848-50.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
