Shiloh Cemetery is located on the South side of State Road 22 at 575W in Howard County, Indiana, just west of Kokomo.

The cemetery is just west of the Shiloh United Methodist Church. The cemetery is in current use and is well maintained. There are several missing markers in the older (North) section of the cemetery.

There were also about a half dozen small older markers which were completely illegible and were not included in the listing below.

There are several Civil War veterans buried in the cemetery , sometimes there are two markers for them. I have included separate entries for each marker. Most of the burials began in 1870, although there is one marker with an earlier death date. Some of the older markers having eroded raised lettering proved very difficult to read - where I have included question marks with no additional information, it is possible that someone could recover additional information by either black light or tracing. i = Inscription

I walked and recorded this cemetery, completing it on 27 May 2003. I have included all the markers currently in the cemetery.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
