Saint Stephen Cemetery (Warrenton Cemetery)
Warrenton, Gibson County, Indiana

Lat: 38°10'43"N, Lon: 87°31'51"W
Sec 16, Johnson Township

Contributed by Kathy Moore, Apr 11, 2002, last updated Apr 19, 2002 [twolynns@gibsoncounty.net]. Total records = 374.

Turn east onto State Road 68 from Highway 41. Turn right on first road to the right which will be 150 E. This road goes straight to the cemetery. Cemetery and church will be on the left.

I'm not sure if there are any burials without markers. All markers are shown here. Some are unreadable but are in the cemetery.

This has all minus on which I found missing in the newer section, I can tell because the stone was gone between Pamela and Thelma Gentry

I compiled this on Apr 11 and 17, 2002 by walking through the cemetery.

This cemetery is owned and maintained by Saint Stephen United Church of Christ, in Warrenton IN. (812) 768-6479

Both church and cemetery were established in 1854, dedicated 1969. The first church burned down so the dedication was probably the second church.

cemetery records

A free online library of cemetery records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
