Belvidere Cemetery is owned by Cemetery Association of Belvidere as a non-profit organization. The cemetery was established in 1847. It is home to the "Pettit Memorial Chapel", designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
