Saint Michael Cemetery
Worley, Kootenai County, Idaho

To reach this cemetery, from Highway 95 in Worley Idaho, turn north onto Cave Bay Road for a ½mi, then right onto Cottonwood Road for about .2 mi, then right onto Rolling Hills Road. The cemetery can be seen ahead on a small hill. There are two entrances to the cemetery. The second one has the sign as you enter.

This is also known as the Worley Indian Cemetery. It seems to have mostly burials of Indians, from the surrounding area. I would like to find the sexton to see if I can acquire more of the unknowns plus a bit of the cemetery history.

I added names from an older reading I found in the Idaho State Library. There was no author's name on it, but it was done on Jun 30, 1987. Those entries are followed by and asterisk * which means I have no photo for those. I also cannot vouch for their accuracy.

It appears well maintained, although it is not perpetual care. I suspect families care for their various areas. There is evidence of many unmarked graves. There are some new white crosses, also old deteriorated crosses. The earliest burial listed is 1908.

I walked and read this cemetery on May 03, 2003, using digital camera, and have a photo of all legible markers and stones.
