Clara Cemetery
Lakeview, Bonner County, Idaho

Lat: 47°58'08"N, Lon: 116°26'39"W

Contributed by Mary Garrison, Mar 11, 2002 [mycougars@adelphia.net] Total records = 15.

To reach this cemetery take Highway 95 south to just past the Silverwood Theme Park and go east on Bunco Road. Follow Bunco Road and Forest Service signs to Lakeview.

The Clara Cemetery is near the small community cemetery outside of Lakeview on the East side of Lake Pend Oreille across from Bayview, Idaho. This community is Cedar Creek.

Clara cemetery might be inaccessible during winter months. From Lakeview take USFS Rd #278 approximately 10 miles north. The cemetery is on the west side of the roadway and is only marked by a deer trail and small wooden sign.

There is really no parking in the area and it is a very narrow logging road. A short walk of about 200 yards up the hillside will lead you to the cemetery. It is in the timber and surrounded by a log fence that has fallen down in places.

The oldest burial appears to be Albert Leonard Middleton 04-09-1900. Mary and Nellie Garrison completed Tombstone transcriptions during July 2000. Updated 06-04-2001.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
