From Perkins, 2.2 miles south on Old Perkins Rd. from Perkins-Green Fork Rd. From Millen, 1.8 miles north of Millen Bypass via Perkins Rd. to Old Perkins Rd., then continuing north 1.75 miles to cemetery, which is located on the east side of Old Perkins Rd.

This is located in a wooded area north of Millen, GA or south of Perkins, GA, which is directly east of, across railroad tracks, and across Old Perkins Rd., from what was a large Confederate prisoner of war camp known as Fort Lawton. The camp is now part of Magnolia State Park, the entrance to which is off US Hwy 25.

A copper plaque mounted in a brick pillar near the entrance to the cemetery is inscribed "Lawtonville Cemetery Est. Nov. 20, 1892." The cemetery is not well maintained
