This is a lovely cemetery in a rural setting, and is surrounded by a chain-link fence. on Cemetery Road outside of town. It is owned and maintained by the town of Alva and currently active.

There have been 4 people involved at various stages in the Alva Cemetery project. Helen Farrell, Wendy Blackburn, Jackie Driggers and Ilsa Lezgus. The project started in Jul 1996 and is complete up to 1999. It includes all visible headstone readings.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
