History

This is an active cemetery, but dates back hundreds of years.

It's documented in the book, "Burying Grounds of Sharon, Connecticut, Amenia and North East, New York", by L. Van Alstyne and published in 1903, as follows...

"There are as many and perhaps more graves without headstones as with and no record has been kept to show who are buried in them The ground is kept in fair condition but several headstones have fallen flat to the ground."

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
