Cemetery History

The Bennett Cemetery is located on a knoll, looking over Judd Road, at the address of 135 Judd Road. The cemetery is found in a patch of trees between a driveway and the road. The cemetery contains the remains of two people; John Bennett Sr. & John Bennett Jr., who both died of Smallpox in April of 1822. Due to repairs, not all of the inscription is readable.

Bennett Cemetery has also been referred to as, "Small Pox Cemetery".

As of this writing, the condition of the cemtery remains rough - hasn't been seen/visited in years, however stones are in decent condition.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
