To reach this cemetery from the south side of the town of Limon, drive east on Hwy 70, turn left or north onto Hwy 71 and continue to 7th St where you turn left, or west, and you will easily spot the cemetery on your left.

This cemetery is owned and maintained by the town of Limon, Colorado. It was first named Limon Cemetery, but later renamed to honor William S. Pershing, who was the founder of and first mayor of Limon.

I walked and completed reading and transcribing this cemetery in May of 2004. It contains all existing tombstone readings up to that time.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
