History
Evergreen Cemetery is a Gold Rush era cemetery established in 1850 as one of the first public cemeteries in California. Evergreen's burial records were destroyed in a fire in 1922. In 1929, the cemetery was reorganized by the incorporation of the Evergreen Cemetery Association.
