San Pasqual Memorial

The Battle of San Pasqual, fought in 1846, saw the U.S. Army led by Stephen W. Kearney go against the Mexican forces led by Andres Pico. Kearney suffered the heavier losses, but managed to defeat Pico, which won California for the United States.

Kearney's men were originally buried on location in San Pasqual, but were later reinterred at Fort Rosecrans.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
