To reach Danby take National Trails Highway 9.4 miles west of Essex to the intersection with Danby Road. Turn south. Follow the gravel road 1.7 miles and cross the railroad tracks. Proceed ahead on the sandy road and slightly to your left for about 600 feet. Look for posts standing up within the chaparral bushes about 75 feet south of the road on a small, low knoll.

There are two and possibly three graves in the cemetery at Danby. One of the graves is fenced with wire and one with wooden rails. There are no inscriptions on any of the graves, the crosses are mostly gone. I have not been able to establish the names of any of the people buried at Danby. Danby served as a watering stop for steam engines on the Santa Fe railroad in the early 1900s.

I visited this cemetery in the summer of 2005.
