Antioch Cemetery Records
Washington County, Arkansas

Contributed by Kim Schildwachter [PoohysMom@aol.com]. Total Records = 159

This Cemetery is four miles south of Morrow, Ark, atop Antioch Mountain. This hill lies between Skylight mountain on the east and Hale mountain on the west. One plot of sandstone marked graves thought by some early settlers to have been burials as early as the Civil War but no one knows who the burials are. The earliest known burials were members of the Collins and Hubbard families who were related. Sada Hubbard 1880, Peter Hubbard and Walter Hubbard 1883, Mary L. Collins 1884 and Louisa Ann Collins Hubbard 1885. The cemetery was made a public burial ground when the land was purchased from T.A. and M.E. McCaleb for the sum of $10.00 on March 26, 1904 by J.C. Glidewell, T.L. Carte, T. Holcroft and Jake Baugh. This is a well kept cemetery across the road from the Little Church

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
