From Langley, Arkansas take Highway 369 to Camp Albert Pike (6 miles). Continue on Hwy 369 an additional .5 miles to the Public Restroom area. The Cemetery is located .2 miles from the Restroom area. It is just off the road but may be hard to see.

This cemetery is not active and not very well maintained. Someone has replaced some of the old tombstones with a small one, which is easy to read. There are several graves marked with stone but no name or date.

There is a marker as you enter the Cemetery that reads: "Named after the spring which flows from the mountain side across the Little Missouri River from this site. The Rock Springs Cemetery served as a burial site for the approximately 50 families who homesteaded in this area beginning in the early 1850's through 1918. Located near the cemetery is the former location of the church house which also served as a school. This information was complied by James and Flossie Graves Lowery who at this time reside on the original homestead at Albert Pike. Memorials donated by Memorial Arts Texarkana, Texas 1993."

Sharon Rodgers and I walked and read this cemetery on Jun 23, 2009 and was able to read the following names.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
